Agenda - Steam Train Driving Experience
This great experience will last approximately one hour during which time you will both drive the locomotive (in one direction) and fire it (in the other). All firing and driving instruction is given by experienced Swanage Railway enginemen. Each participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement and gift pack of Railway literature upon completion of the experience.
Steam Train Driving Experience Notes
On purchasing this experience you will be sent a personalised gift certificate with 10 months validity. The Steam Driving Experiences run on selected dates throughout March, April, May, June, September, October and November. The steam locomotives used on these experiences will be drawn from the stable of working locomotives. When accepting a booking for these experiences, the Railway cannot guarantee that a particular locomotive will be used on any particular day. All participants must be over 21 and able bodied. Unfortunately no passengers are allowed on the train while the recipient is control. You will share the hour with one other participant who will fire the locomotive while you drive and vice versa.
