Hauled by a majestic 1940's steam locomotive, sit back and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of yesteryear about the Cathedrals Express. As you meander through some of Britain's most beautiful countryside you will be served a delightful brunch before you arrive at one of England's cathedral cities or another destination of interest. After several hours to enjoy the attractions, take your seats again for the journey home, during which you will be served a three course dinner with coffee.

Destinations include Bath, Bristol, Bournemouth, Canterbury, Chichester, Ely, Exeter, Gloucester, Lincoln, Oxford, Norwich, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Sherborne, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Wells, Weymouth, Winchester and Worcester. All trains depart mid-late morning from mainline London stations and return by around 9pm, giving you 3-4 hours to explore the delights your chosen city has to offer. You will be served brunch and a three course meal on your return journey. Your seat will be in the restaurant car for the duration of the journey at a table for two or four people.

On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with 10 months validity. This experience is for two people and is available for weekday departures only. The voucher will have the contact details to make your booking. Please note that wine is not included but there is an extensive wine list available which is payable directly to the supplier on the day. Locomotives used include Class A4 'Union of South Africa', West Country Class 'Bodmin', 73090 BR Standard Class 5 and West Country 34067 'Tangmere'. The operator reserves the right to vary the locomotives throughout the year and for operational reasons it may be necessary to change locomotives at short notice. A vegetarian meal is available and should be requested at time of booking.
