Covering all aspects from sound recording and lighting to scene setting and camera controls this is ideal for budding film makers or people wanting to understand the fundamentals of cinematography and editing. You will apply your knowledge by making a short film.
Agenda - Practical Filmmaking Experience
Starting with coffee in the cinema, you will be introduced to key elements of filmmaking, live demonstrations and short film illustrating techniques. After a production lunch and introduction to a PC editing system you will be shown how to digitise, insert transitions and manipulate audio. Additionally you will set up lights, monitor sound and edit. Well-known filmmakers and experts are on hand throughout the day to given advice. Lunch is included and the day runs from 8.45am until 7pm.
Practical Filmmaking Experience Notes
On purchase of this experience you will be sent a personalised gift certificate with ten months validity. No previous experience necessary. Groups of friends, colleagues or families can all work on a project. Participant should be 16 or over, under 18's must be accompanied by a paying adult. This course is usually taught on a Saturday by working professionals who are experts in their field.
